It’s that time of year! Stoves fired up, fireplaces crackling with the glow of a warm fire. Majority of families have a common thought that sweeping and inspecting their chimney, fireplace or appliance whether it’s a stove or another heat appliance, is just needed once a year or season. That couldn’t be further from the truth. The build up of creosote can differ for a number of reasons. Wet vs dry wood, the duration of seasoning the wood had, what type of wood is being burnt, how hot of a fire you are having in your heat source, wind conditions effecting your updraft, etc. my wife Angie and I continuously see local fire departments posts online undertaking flames at residents that started from wood stoves, fireplaces or other source’s leading to a chimney. A small inspection and cleaning regularly could make the difference of your families home being torn away from flames or even toxic fumes. Cracks it existing flue tiles in chimney can let toxic carbon monoxide enter your home, or let glowing embers enter to combustible areas just as well. There are a number of ways that can resolve deteriorating chimneys, the first thing you have to do though is be aware of the health of the chimney itself.
That being said, Bishop’s Construction & Chimney Services will run our inspection/cleaning deal for $250 through the end of February.
Let our family, help your family stay safe and worry free this winter while keeping your families warm, and out of harms way.
Best wishes and God Bless from The Bishop’s!
