I know that it's normal for old people to eventually pass from this world to the next. But, even so, sometimes their light is so great, their human accomplishments so vast and the impact they had on your life so profound that, in their leaving, you are left feeling that you've been hit in the solar plexus with a bowling ball.
The great, Nancy Nordhoff, has passed from this worldly plane into the blessed center of love and light. It is impossible to recount all the ways in which she made this world a better place.
Nancy was instrumental in arranging a low interest loan for me in the early years of Bayview Garden so that I could purchase the property I was renting for my business. She was a benefactor to me in this way but also in the way that she believed in me as a person. She believed in my dreams and visions and never wavered in her support and encouragement. She was an "enabler" in the best sense of the word.
Thank you, Nancy, for everything you did for me, for our community and for our world. I love you.
