A message from the gnome himself:

Well, well, well… After 10+ years at the Williamston ReStore, I’ve decided it’s time to address the elephant - or should I say gnome - in the room.
I’ve stood here through the holidays. I’ve watched you shop. I’ve watched you donate.

I’ve endured countless Christmas songs & questionable decorating choices. After 10 years of dedicated service, I'M RETIRING!

That’s right! I’m ready to find a new home where I can lounge around and look fabulous.

I’ve had a good run at the ReStore, and I’ve made plenty of memories ❤️ But every gnome deserves a new adventure! So…Who’s taking me home? 👀

IMPORTANT: We at Habitat Capital Region are thankful to report that everyone is safe following a tornado that struck our Williamston ReStore building this afternoon.

Staff and volunteers had spent the past several days working hard to clear out the building following the ReStore’s closure. Thankfully, the building was empty when the tornado hit, and no one was inside or on the surrounding premises.

While we’re still assessing the damage and next steps, we’re thinking of everyone in the Williamston community who may have been affected by today’s storms. We’ll share more information as we have it. In the meantime, please take care as severe weather continues into the weekend.
