Waltzing Willow Gardens

Waltzing Willow Gardens One dancer growing food for her health and community. Bringing us to the forming of Waltzing Willow Gardens.

After teaching high school students on the South side of Lansing how to grow food and eat healthy in 2012, Colleen wanted to get more involved and invested in supporting and developing the local food system of Lansing. Hence when other small scale farmers in the area started talking about coming together to build their farm infrastructures and the amount of fresh healthy food in the area by forming a cooperative, Colleen jumped at the opportunity to be one of the farmers to contribute.

I haven't posted in almost 2 years. But recently I've been getting posts that new people are coming to this page. That makes me excited and happy, and also makes me wonder why it is connecting people to this page! Anyway, with winter here, I am wishing I was back on that plot doing some winter changes or planning my garden there. Instead, I'm email frantically to community gardens trying to find a plot in Baltimore that is near by so I can plan my garden here!

What the gutters were before. Kelly, I just used a drill with a bit that was larger than the rivet to drill out the rivets of the gutters to redirect them. I then put in two self drilling screws per attachment point (right up by thee down spout since I switched it to go out towards the tote, at where I put the smaller portion of gutter to direct down, & at the connection the the bendable gutter.)
