We fixed a seawall for a customer today. We are the 3rd company this customer had out.
-The 1st company failed to install the wall correctly by only retaining to the ground, this allowed undermining and washout.
- The 2nd company recommended putting concrete behind the wall (this helped a little but still there was undermining).
The customer had us out to help with other problems on the beach and told us of their seawall issues and I said the only real solution is to retain deeper into the ground. The customer liked the idea and hired us for the job in addition to their beach project!
