An all weather milk goat fits both cold and semi arid areas. If you farm in highlands or dry zones, Alpine breed is to consider.

These goats adapt fast. They handle low temperatures in places like Limuru and Nyandarua. They also survive in drier regions if you manage feed and water well.

Kidding rate is high.
-Twins are common.
-With good feeding, triplets are frequent.
-In well managed herds, four kids are possible.

Milk production is strong.
-Average 2 to 4 liters per day per doe.
-Peak yield comes in the first 3 months after kidding.
-Lactation lasts 8 to 10 months with good management.

Feed determines output.
Give quality fodder, enough protein, clean water, and mineral supplements. Poor feeding cuts milk and reduces twinning rate.

If you want a goat for milk and steady income across seasons, this type gives you both production and resilience.
