Become a Doña Ana County Master Gardener 🌱
Some opportunities teach you how to grow plants. Others teach you how to grow a community.
The Doña Ana County Certified Extension Master Gardeners is one of those rare experiences that does both.
Whether you're an experienced gardener or simply someone who loves plants and wants to learn more, this course offers an incredible depth of knowledge taught by New Mexico State University Extension Specialists, certified Master Gardeners, and regional horticultural experts. You'll learn practical, science-based gardening techniques specifically suited to our unique desert climate—knowledge that will benefit your own garden, your family, your neighbors, and our entire community.
But what makes this program truly special is what happens after the classroom.
Master Gardeners become trusted community resources, helping answer gardening questions, supporting local educational programs, promoting water-wise landscaping, and sharing the joy of growing with others. Every volunteer hour has a ripple effect that reaches schools, community gardens, families, and future generations of gardeners throughout Doña Ana County.
For just $200, you'll receive the course textbook, class materials, access to an incredible network of experienced gardeners, and a wealth of knowledge that would be difficult to find anywhere else.
If you want to deepen your understanding of horticulture, connect with like-minded people, and make a meaningful difference in your community, this is your chance.
Classes run August 13th through December 3rd.
Learn. Grow. Share.
