I'm one of the teachers for this extraordinary course.
I took my Permaculture Design Certification from Penny Livingston 14 years ago. Taking this course changed the course of my life. I love my work with water and communities that bloomed out of theories and techniques I learned with Penny.
If you're wondering how you can invest in your own sustainable future, check out this course.

6-month live cohort with 20+ world-class teachers. Enrollment closes Feb 17.

Winter hibernation is ending and I'm happy to invite you to be a part of Wild Remembering with me.
The Wild Remembering Permaculture workshop series is an exciting and accessible way for people to learn practical tools for cultivating a more regenerative way of living in urban spaces like Las Vegas. Wild Remembering Permaculture workshops are designed to teach the essentials of the methodology of permaculture design, practical techniques for cultivating more healthy ecosystems in urban environments, and create a space for the reweaving of the village to support a more interconnected living community here in Las Vegas.
The first class is an Introduction to Permaculture & Wild Remembering. This introductory class is a 3-hour classroom experience that includes both permaculture learning, practice, and village building.
Are you interested in learning how to live more sustainably as we cultivate community together? Let's get wild!
Contact me if you would like to host a class at your location.

Stewards of the Earth: Composting Weekend

Learning the art of composting is stewardship in action. We take food waste that would go to the landfill and turn it into living soil. We create closed-loop systems that need less input. And we practice turning what’s spent into nourishment for future growth.

Saturday 11/15 | Dennis Wichter – Las Vegas Worm Farm
Discover in-bed worm composting that thrives in our desert climate—from setup to feeding to harvesting nutrient-rich castings. Collaborate with the smallest of earth’s stewards and see how worms quietly transform scraps into abundance. Feel inspired? Bring a soil sample from your yard so Dennis can show the differences in soil composition and why it matters.

Sunday 11/16 | C.J. Kelley – Cooperative Extension
Demystify composting at home or in the office with easy, accessible methods. Using the weekend’s food waste, C.J. will show how anyone can turn scraps into soil, no matter your space.

♻️ Viva La Composting is generously donating bins for food waste all weekend! Bring your own kitchen scraps (“if it grows, it goes”) and watch them become fertile soil. Please skip meat, greasy items, bones, or waxy/plastic wrappers.

Let’s turn waste into wisdom, decay into renewal, and endings into beginnings. 🌎

We invite you to gather with us for a talking circle to explore the lasting impacts of colonization, loss of language, and cultural erasure, while also illuminating the power of tradition, land stewardship, and spiritual renewal as forces of healing. This circle is open to everyone in the community. We are all impacted by the lasting generational impacts of systems of oppression.
The talking circle is an ancient indigenous social technology where we gather in an egalitarian way to work out how to live in harmony with each other. When we gather, we bring our open hearts, our wisdom of deep listening, our willingness to recognize what we share, and our truth telling voices. In this circle, every voice is given honor and space. Please join us as we deepen our cooling pool of trust that will lay the groundwork for a peaceful future.

Every generation is part of the healing. Every song, every ceremony, and every step we take is a reminder that our cultures are alive and our stories and songs continue.

Let's remember our ancestral medicine together.
