Guys i am cackling🤣 i was making sandwich bread for just my family and was letting it sit for its second rise and fell asleep. In hind sight I should have reshaped it before baking but I just chucked it in the oven and hoped for the best

Don't kick me out for asking this, but:
Laura Ingalls momma surely didn't spend 2 days on sourdough with stretch and folds every 30 minutes.
I want THAT recipe. The one they used on the prairie.
Anyone have a very old fashioned simple recipe. I don't need fancy. I just need it to work.

My second loaf! Blueberry cream cheese 🫐
Recipe
1/2 cup starter
1 1/2 cup water
About 4 cups flour
2ts salt
Let set for an hour then stretch and folds every half hour 4x, I added some blueberries during the stretch and folds, let rise on the counter.
Then added more blueberries and then the cream cheese during shaping and sat in the fridge over night.
Baked at 450
30 mins with lid
20 mins without
And I place the Dutch oven in during the preheat.
Just wanted to add I would definitely add sugar to this next time, still really good without tho!

Let’s see how this thing works out.Just set up the sourdough sidekick and set it to feed itself every 24 hours. Curious ...

Edit: so I just need to add this here to maybe settle some craziness and people fighting each other in the comments!
1. It’s okay if you think it’s useless and a waste of money! MY money is what bought it, and I didn’t mind wasting it, so it’s okay! No need to worry!
2. I am not lazy šŸ˜‚ I am a mom of 3 boys, laziness isn’t allowed to be in my vocabulary lol
3. No way did I put my entire starter in this machine. I still have my jar that I will be feeding regularly until this thing proves itself worthy. No way is ā€œdoughman Salvatoreā€ going to be ruined by this machine lol
4. It really isn’t that serious, and it’ll all be okay šŸ˜‚

I bought this at the thrift store for five dollars over the weekend, & inside it's a sealed dehydrated sourdough starter & recipe book, the starter is at least 55 years old from the 1971 date on the recipe book, im curious would it be safe to rehydrate & start baking?

The only 60 in Canada was something my brother read on reddit when he was searching the internet for one to buy, so no clue if its true, dont come at me, but the official site is sold out šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

It never disappoints 🤩
This dough sat out to rise all night and was completely over proofed and tough to shape this morning. After baking, I was shocked and pleased to see this beautiful loaf when I took the lid off 😯
165 g starter (unfed or fed)
400 g spring water
650 g bread flour
15 g salt

This is the sourdough recipe I use, best ever and so easy! My question is when I want to add things, when do I add them?
