⛳ THE HEART OF THE COURSE 💚

This one is a little different—and pretty incredible.

We’re out in Summerlin working at one of Las Vegas’ prestigious golf courses, transforming the pump house that serves as the heart of the course’s irrigation system. This room houses millions of dollars in equipment responsible for keeping the course green, healthy, and beautiful year-round.

With that kind of equipment, the floor needed to do more than just look good.

We installed our Penntek polyurea/polyaspartic coating system, creating a durable, moisture-resistant surface that’s easy to clean and built to handle the demanding environment of an irrigation pump house.

But the transformation started underneath the coating. This concrete needed extensive repair work—cracks, pits, damaged areas, and numerous cuts and patches made during the installation of the equipment. Our crew repaired and restored the substrate before installing the new coating system.

What started as another failing DIY epoxy floor — yellowed from UV exposure, permanently stained, covered in tire marks, peeling and chipping — is now completely transformed with a professionally installed Penntek polyurea/polyaspartic coating system.

🔥 BUILT FOR THE VEGAS HEAT 🔥

This one was a monster — 1,100 sq. ft. of driveway and front entry transformed in Centennial Hills, Las Vegas, right in the middle of triple-digit summer heat.

The existing epoxy flake system was completely failing — delaminating, faded, stained, and with much of the topcoat already worn away. Once we started removal, we found another major problem: a grinder had never touched this concrete. Proper surface preparation is everything when it comes to long-term adhesion.

After removing the failed coating and mechanically diamond grinding the concrete, our Armor Coatings crew installed our Penntek polyurea/polyaspartic system in Pecan — a unique blend that complements this home’s exterior perfectly.

For this project, we also used our Mega Heat polyaspartic topcoat, specifically engineered for high-temperature applications like our Las Vegas summers. ☀️ When air temperatures push past 100°, concrete surface temperatures can get significantly hotter.

Why does that matter? Lower-quality polyaspartic topcoats can thin excessively during application in extreme heat, leaving behind an inadequate topcoat with exposed flake. That can mean premature wear, staining, tire marks, and a much shorter service life.
