And now for a brief message from the cutest dog!

This is Bella. She works hard on the days I come help organize. She's gotta keep track of the landscapers, the pool guys, me, and even the dryer when it buzzes! She's a busy dog keeping the house safe.

Don't mind how I look. I dress to organize. Focus on the dog. The dog is the cutie!

Laundry room! It became a little too much in one room. Sorted out what didn't need to be in there anymore. Threw away old supplies or forgotten bottles. A laundry room cupboard doesn't have to be pretty on the inside, but it needs to organized so supplies are easily located when needed. Mission accomplished. I believe the client was very happy with the results!

(Why are my 'before' pics blurry? I don't know. I didn't notice until after we finished. Sorry!)

Master Closet - Her Side!

Hidden away gifts, shoes stored away, precious baby clothes and memories stacked high up, super cute clothes tucked too tight, and too many different hangers.

Started on one side and worked our way around her side of the master closet. Shelves are cleared, clothes can breathe, shoes spread out, gifts gathered up, baby things purged, and drawers relieved of too much.

And guys, WHITE hangers. All the other hangers went in the trash with the exception of her request to keep the grey and felt ones. Ok, deal. The consistency helps immensely with visual.

She asked what we could put on the empty shelves. I said, "Nothing." You don't need to put something on a shelf just because it's been emptied. Just enjoy the empty space.

I told her that she needs to give her husband a heads up for when I come back we'll do his side. She said that he's going to see her side and be jealous and become competitive to do better! Hahaha. Bring it on.

This room was a little bit of everything.

The kids shuffled rooms and the rooms shuffled purpose. This room was a guest room, then a play room, then one of the kids claimed it, and then it was a guest room again, back to the kid's room. So it was a hodge podge of lots of things happening in here.

The goal: Guest room only.

(And the closet set aside for toys for the grandkids. Because spoiling grandkids is what grandparents do best.)

It was a team effort. Got all the kid's personal items out, donated toys the kids had outgrown, and organized the toys, puzzles, games, and books for the grandkids. The room is much more peaceful now. Chaos gone!

Storage section of the garage!

The goal over here was to get the shelves back to functioning properly. The stuff that got piled in front of the shelving units were stressing the owner out big time! She wanted to be able to come out to the garage and easily get what she needed without having to ask her husband to rearrange first to get to a box or an item.

We cleared out the excess and once we could see things better, we switched out the bookcase (can you see it back there??) with proper shelving.

Golf is a big sport at their house, so the clubs still had to go in front of the shelves, but what is on the shelves down low is not anything she will need regularly. So it works out much better!

The shelf closest to her garage door to the house has kitchen supplies that she can easily access now.

Love clearing out the junk from garages. So satisfying!

Girl's Room!

We didn't realize there was additional lighting until the very end!

I'm positive she donated over 200 stuffed animals. They were in shelves, under the bed, in the toy chest, on the bed, and they had a full top bunk dedicated to stuffed animals.

There were a LOT of stuffed animals.

She sorted every single one of them. She was efficient and if she hesitated on any of them, then that means it was still important, and it stayed.

We pulled out every article of clothing and donated several bags of clothes. She was honest in her assessment of old art projects and had a lot of fun finding old items she had forgotten were buried around her room. She was just awesome.

She now has her room back and can enjoy her space a lot more. All completed in time for Christmas!

The last picture is of my daughter Lucy. She wanted to come help sort and organize. She was in charge of the stuffed animals on the top bunk. They turned it into a game and it was quite silly and fun, but still very effective in achieving our goal.

This was a weird storage closet just off her laundry room. Full of toys long forgotten but well played with once upon a time. The girls, again, did absolutely fantastic. They set aside a few things that held sentimental value and put them away in their rooms. But 98% of what was in here got donated - just in time for Christmas. What was left were a few larger toys that can remain in there and not be lost or crowded. Easily seen and accessible. I'm just amazed at how awesome the two girls did at sorting through the toys. Absolute rock stars!

Have I mentioned the two girls that owned these toys were absolute rock stars? Because they were totally awesome. Same rules. Anything they didn't want, I took away to donate. Anything they did want to keep, they had to take to their rooms. Again, each girl took only one armful each - everything else I hauled away. The loft is found!

Here is a different house I worked on before Christmas. This mom reached out and said, "I want to decorate for Christmas, but I don't know where to start." Her living room was overflowing with toys for her two girls. So we scheduled an evening when the girls would be home and let me tell you, these girls rocked it! They had outgrown most of the toys. Anything they decided to keep, I instructed them to take to their bedrooms. They did. But it was only an armful of toys for each girl. Everything else, we loaded into my truck where I delivered to be donated. The living room is reclaimed!

Happy New Year!

Another room cleared out and organized before Christmas. This is the twins' room. They are both in college right now. So mom wanted to clear out the closet of all the clothes that were too small for them, collect all their personal belongings to store in the closet and reduce the amount of clutter around the room.

I did take a full truck load from this room. Full!

We started with the closet and donated most of what was in there. Then we worked our way around the room. I pulled things out from under the bed and when we finished that, I started pulling out drawers and dumping the contents so that we could sort every single thing.

She says to me, "I think you just like making messes."

I do. Because it has to get a lot worse before it gets better. We have to see every single thing.

Once we were finished, she was so happy! She said that every day when she passes this room and she can see the clutter from the hallway, it was so stressful for her. Now, she feels a huge load off her shoulders and much more relaxed and peaceful now that the chaos is gone. The plan is that when the girls got home for Christmas break, they would spend some time sorting through their bins that are in the closet. It's much more manageable now. They'd rather go through a couple of bins than the entire room. We did the hard part. The girls can finish up easily enough.
