Icing in the making

Inspired by my nickname for my beautiful granddaughters Pudding, Cupcake and Sweetpea who is so Sweet who just loves their Granny’s Sweets.

My Big Mama would make sure every Sunday there was a freshly baked 7up cake which was always a treat, not only did you make cakes she would make peach cobblers, tea cookies, and OMG homemade Ice cream..I never thought I would get her recipes down because she never measure anything she knew how to make everything with a dash of this or that.

When I say everything was homemade I mean she used basic ingredients from start to finish. She would swift the flour, soften the butter (real butter) roll the dough.
I remember she was making tea cookies and used a glass to cut them a perfect shape cookie. When I started baking, I had no idea it would turn into a business, it was the idea from family and friends who encourage me to do what I love and make a little extra cash. Coming from a big family, everything was made from scratch so never in a million years did I imagined how much fun I was going to have baking for my community.

When Covid 19 hit and things got tight, I decided to start baking more and more and people wanted to place orders, especially during the holiday Season.
