These deck steps were breaking down in many areas and were very unsafe to use. The new steps, rails and posts have made a dangerous situation very safe.

Some recent dryer ducts I have cleaned. Just a reminder how important it is to have your dryer and duct cleaned. The United States Fire Administration reports 2,900 dryer fires each year with 5 deaths, 100 injuries and 35 million in property loss. Additionally your dryer does not dry properly and the heating element can burn out. I have replaced several heating elements.

Last week was a busy week. I removed some windows in a garage then reframed, insulated and installed new cedar siding. In the garage I installed new upper and lower cabinets. Then built some steps for a hot tub and A-frame play house. I also repaired a soffit in the garage with new sheetrock and insulation and finished off with a knockdown layer.

I recently had a customer that wanted to convert a loft area into a baby’s room. I removed the railing and installed a wall and window. I painted the high areas to the outside and just finished the Sheetrock and trim on the inside.

I had a customer who had some water damage on the wall outside her shower. Had to repair the damage and install new tile.

Just completed new tile and trim boards for a fireplace. It was interesting to find an old coke carton dumped inside the wall above the fireplace. Seems like a fire hazard.

Completed some ceiling repair. Replaced the sheetrock and added popcorn texture to match the current ceiling texture. Always an interesting challenge trying to match the various wall and ceiling textures.

Just completed a complete bathroom remodel. Actually two of the same. One bathroom on the main level I gutted and the one in the basement was an empty shell.

Just finished a pretty big painting project. Thankful for the week of nice weather. Highest peak was about 24 feet.

A potential fire hazard in your home is a dryer that overheats due to an obstructed duct. I have cleaned out several dryer ducts recently. A couple were totally blocked. Let me know if you would like your dryer ducts cleaned.

I have replaced exterior door hinges for a couple of people over the last couple of weeks. This is what worn out hinges look like. The door had dropped 1/4” and would not latch or seal properly.
