UPDATE: Thanks to several good local people and the help of the Lake County Sheriffs office they have been identified and the Sheriff’s office is handling the issue. Needless to say they wont be allowed in the store or on the property anymore. Thanks Leadville for sticking together to keep our town safe

Does anyone know these 2 upstanding members of society? They decided that shoplifting is how to handle a pandemic. The video of them pocketing products is in the hands of the Lake County Sheriffs office. If you know them please let us know.
We have had a lot of shoplifting recently and with our new camera system we are going to be posting plenty more pictures.

Thanks to the people of Leadville and Lake County for being strong and supportive during this time. We have received so many compliments and praise from the customers and community for us being open while the town needs us and doing our part to keep the store clean and practicing physical distancing while helping customers. We are a proud member of the community of Leadville and will keep operating until this crisis is over or until we are forced to close and even then we will fight to remain open for your home repair needs
As long as we can get product to the store and serve the community we will be here. This community is strong and self-reliant and we will continue to service your needs.

Thanks for supporting us and remember that the restaurants in this town need us as well, eat out and keep them vital. They all are offering take out and most are delivering as well. We want them still operating when this ends.

With COVID-19 having all the headlines, be assured we are going to be here and are ordering hardware supplies just as we would on every other day of the year. Our staff is ready to help and is healthy and doing their best to stay that way by washing hands and doing whatever else the medical community says to keep ourselves healthy. Face masks, hand sanitizer, and a few other things are out at the warehouse but we have them on order. When they arrive in our store these products will be out for sale. We will not condone hoarding or price gouging and may limit the high demand products as we see necessary so everyone in Leadville can have the products they need at the price they were before the epidemic. Obviously we can not work from home in the retail hardware business and will be here just as we would any other day of the year. Come on in, say hello, if you are wearing a mask you are just as welcome as everyone else. If you are sick, stay at home and send in a friend to get your hardware needs. Let's all work together to keep Lake County healthy and operating smoothly while this illness runs its course. Thanks from the staff at BigHorn Hardware. Be Safe and Healthy!
