✨ Cheers to 2025 & hello, 2026! ✨

As we wrap up this year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on how far S*M Home Services has come — and how grateful we are for the support that made it possible.

Some highlights from 2025:
✔️ Launched and grew S*M Home Services from the ground up
✔️ Expanded our service offerings to better support homeowners & property owners
✔️ Completed a wide range of projects across the KC metro
✔️ Built strong relationships with clients, vendors, and community partners
✔️ Learned a lot, refined our processes, and laid the groundwork for long-term growth

None of this happens without our incredible clients who trust us with their homes, the referrals that keep small businesses going, and the support behind the scenes that allows us to do what we love.

As we head into 2026, we’re excited for what’s ahead — continued growth, improved systems, and showing up even better for the families and properties we serve.

📅 Let’s Talk About Scheduling…

This morning, I (Charlie — the loving wife, full-time schedule wrangler, and the one keeping Jason’s circus running 😂) sat down to map out his upcoming projects… and whew. It’s PACKED. And just to add a little spice to the chaos — I also work a full 40-hour week at my own job. So if quotes, invoices, or my responses come early in the morning, later in the evening, or take me a minute… that’s why. I promise I’m doing my best between juggling work, kids, and this growing business of ours. 😅

When you get a quote from us, we always give you potential dates.
Do you always get those exact dates?
Sometimes yes… sometimes no. And here’s why:

👉 Deposits lock in your spot.
If someone pays their deposit before you, they’re officially on the books before you. We schedule in the order deposits are received — not when the quote was sent.

👉 Materials matter.
Some supplies take longer to come in or require special ordering. If we don’t have what we need, we can’t start… and we’d rather do it right than slap something together.

👉 Jobs run long (lately… oh boy 🤦🏻‍♀️).
Every home is different. What looks like a quick fix sometimes turns into:
“Hey babe… this is gonna be a two-day thing now.”
We refuse to rush or cut corners — quality takes the time it takes.

👉 We’re scheduling almost a month out.
A blessing AND a challenge. We are beyond grateful for the demand and trust you place in Jason and our crew.

👉 And yes — they deserve a few real days off around Christmas.
These guys have worked weekends since October. Even machines need a break…
Plus, Jason has ignored the Honey-Do List for far too long. 😂😂

We appreciate every single one of you who has helped S*M Home Services grow the way it has.
We’re real people, raising babies, building a business, and doing our best to serve this community with honesty, quality, and heart.

🔥 Don’t DIY Your Furnace — It Could Cost You More Than You Think! 🔥

This morning a client sent us this picture when she noticed her furnace wasnt running correctly. Unfortunately someone(not our client) had tried to “DIY” their own furnace venting to heat the basement.

The result? A completely unsafe and ineffective setup that could have easily led to serious issues — including carbon monoxide leaks.

If your furnace or vent lines are damaged, rusted, or patched together with tape, it’s time to call a professional. Improper venting can cause exhaust gases to back up into your home — and that’s a dangerous situation for your family.

🍁 As we head into colder weather, now’s the perfect time to:
✅ Have your furnace inspected and tuned up
✅ Check and replace your Carbon Monoxide and smoke detector batteries
✅ Make sure your venting is properly sealed and secure

Today we wrapped up this little office project — and what a transformation! Where a chicken coop once stood, now stands a cozy functional farmhouse-style office that’s full of charm.

We have a feeling our client’s coworkers might be a little jealous, but she won’t mind one bit — she’s finally getting her living room back after a long while!

A big shoutout to her husband for knowing his way around the wiring and leaving the fun parts to us 😉

We’re so grateful for clients who trust us to bring their vision to life and bake us tasty treats! 🍪 Another project wrapped up and ready to enjoy!

☀️ The crew stayed cool while working through (hopefully!) the last of the summer heat thanks to the Mr. Cool that was installed! ❄️

This week we:
✅ Got the underside of the loft covered
✅ Made big progress finishing up the walls
✅ Left spare room on the back wall for a feature wallpaper that is absolutely perfect for our client (we can’t wait to show it off! 👀)

It’s all coming together and we are excited to get back to work this week!

We have lots of bids scheduled over the next few days and our schedule is filling FAST so get with us today to get scheduled!

While installing a new Mr. Cool unit, our new friend decided to supervise and make sure everything was done just right.
