We got a lot done today despite all the mud. We’ll get the rest of the posts set tomorrow, grade boards on, and truss runners installed. We’ll be ready to set trusses Wednesday morning!

We are nearing completion of a deck demo and rebuild project, featuring a porch roof, for a client in Shepherdsville. Tongue and groove installation is underway on the vaulted porch ceiling, which will be stained to match the Cedartone deck color. The clients are extremely pleased with the quality of work and the project's timely completion.

Customer just sent me this pic of what we did today on their deck and porch roof. They said they absolutely love it and really appreciate the little extras we’re doing to make the job “pop”. It’s comments like these that make the pain, hard work, and sweat worth it!! Looks like we’ve got another return customer!!

To any of my contractor friends on this platform. Do not do any work for Steve Simeon. This is how you’re dealt with after he calls and offers compensation for months I spent helping them on their build. The countless trips to the build site, countless changes made to the build design, and dealing with inept subcontractors that was hired against my advice is apparently a free service to some people. I eventually walked away from the job due to the constant interference that Steve was giving me and my supplier, Howard’s Metal Sales in Bardstown. Katie Durham Maureen Broce and Jared Reinsmith handled the situation with class and dignity as usual. I fail to see how the foundation company that Steve hired and who poured the foundation 2.25” too tall is my fault, but I digress. It would appear that a man’s words is worthless nowadays.

Looky there would ya!! They blocked me. Typical for a couple of spineless cowards!! 😆🤣😂🤣😆😆😆

Me and Wade Hedden knocked another one out of the park! Now, on to a custom deck job in Shepherdsville and another shop build in Elizabethtown!

We teamed up with Hedden Contracting to skin this shop! Got both gable ends and the backside installed and screwed off.

17 hrs to date on this job. Soffit, trim, gutters, and deck boards will go on first of the week.
