Hey neighbors, we'd like to introduce you a project we've also been working on. Working in conjunction with our main store we have dedicated booth spaces for local food vendors under our 501c3 non-profit organization. These vendors will have a slightly different agreement form to fill out when they become a part of something bigger. We're excited and honored to have a way to give back through this program.

The Backyard Homestead Marketplace is a community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening local families, supporting small businesses, and providing meaningful assistance to veterans and first responders in need.

Built on the belief that strong communities are built through service, self-reliance, and neighbors helping neighbors, our marketplace creates opportunities for local artisans, homesteaders, makers, and small businesses to share their products while contributing to a greater purpose. Through vendor spaces, educational programs, community events, and fundraising initiatives, we work to preserve practical skills, support local commerce, and generate resources that sirectly benefit those who have served and protected our communities.

A portion of the proceeds generated through marketplace activities, donations, sponsorships, and special events helps fund programs and assistance efforts for veterans and first responders facing hardship, transition challenges, or unexpected life circumstances.

Every purchase, every vendor partnership, and every act of support helps us create a lasting impact—strengthening local families, empowering small businesses, and giving back to the men and women who have dedicated themselves to serving others.

Together, we are building a community where service is honored, local businesses thrive, and neighbors come together to help one another live better.

Hey neighbors, we're excited to tell y'all we have filed all paperwork to allow us a means of having food vendors. While we're not sure on timing of review and approval we wanted to reach out to our potential food vendors about discussing booth options. Spaces are filling fast but if you offer homemade jams/jellies, baked goods, farm fresh eggs, all natural honey, or items along that line we'd love to get you in a booth. Please reach out for further information.

For all our other potential vendors please check your spam or promotions folder for an email that was sent your way. If you've not already secured your booth please reach out with any questions.

Our retail showroom space will be closed until we launch with our sister store. We'll be in the process of moving and setting everything up at the new location. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

**Booth Space Update**

Hello again neighbors, booth layout and information has started going out for those that have already contacted us. Please check your spam or promotions folder for an email. For thise that have already claimed a booth we will reach out again with move in dates soon.

Anyone else that may be interested please contact us for further information, we'd be happy to discuss how you can join our marketplace. Farm fresh produce, eggs, quilts & sewing crafts, and other homemade handcrafted homesteading type items are gladly welcome.

Cottage Law update: after several conversations and some research we may have found a way to work within the parameters. For thise that have homemade food items please stay tuned for future announcements. Give us a bit if time to work through the paperwork and such.

For all of our friends, family, followers, past and future customers we'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support these last 5 years. As some of you have inquired about our new sister store and the future of RH Woodworks here are the deets. We will be moving our woodshop showroom into the new Backyard Homestead building and consolidating retail space. The woodshop itself will remain open for orders as usual, only the retail showroom will be integrated with our new location. Again we greatly appreciate your past and continued support as we embark on new adventures!

We’re really looking forward to the Missouri War Medallions Recognition Ceremony on Monday, May 18 at The Wallace Building.

This ceremony is about honoring the men and women who served our country and recognizing the sacrifices made by veterans and their families throughout generations. Events like this matter, and we’re proud to help bring this recognition to our community.

We also want to say thank you to the sponsors and supporters helping make this event possible. Your support allows us to properly honor these veterans and create a meaningful experience for everyone attending.
