Collaborative Revisions...Who are we?

We are not anyone special, we are not even famous! But we are...a diverse and creative family who enjoys combining our talents to take old things, revise them and offer them new life.

The core to our family and Collaborative Revisions is Melita Becker, she has passionately spent her life learning, teaching and creating. She was formally trained at Columbus College of Art and Design and graduated in 1986 with a BFA in illustration. After college, she accepted a position at Gibson Greeting Cards where she worked as a staff illustrator for 4 years.

Life at this point happened. She married Larry Becker and they went on to have 3 daughters, Audrey, Autumn and Julia. Melita put her career on hold and devoted her creativity to raising and home educating her children. During her hiatus, she worked for non-profit organizations, taught art for a home-school cooperative and offered private art instruction from her home studio.

Equally important to the team is Melita’s jack of all trades, husband, Larry. She often recruits him when an idea requires wood working and some power tools. Larry is a licensed electrician with a background in building maintenance, He is equally visionary and has amazing skills, to bring a sketch on paper into 3-dimensional reality. Larry faithfully collaborates with Melita on many of her artistic endeavors.
