This is what the drive into town looks like right now. It was green, but hasn't all filled in yet. I love this drive. Every single time. Traffic is seeing another car. I blast my music. This round was for MFA (bottle baby formula and duckling food), Grocery store - got canning jars and a few groceries, picked up 4 things of shavings. What do you call those? Blocks? Bricks? We use them in bird brooders as bedding. Went to the dollar store and got toilet bowl brushes. My idea is to try to use them to scrub out animal waterers. They get cleaned every morning, every day. We are super uptight about that. But I still haven't found a favorite brush yet so this time im trying toilet bowl brushes with the long handles. If it works, I'll share. We dropped off an Amazon return to ups. I ordered a book and it came covered in black goop. So random and nasty. I ordered the kitten food from Amazon. Hudsons will be delivering the rest of our feed order with big round bales of hay, bags of minerals and pellets and feed for the other animals, straw square bales for coop and stall bedding (time to do a deep clean, just waiting for the lightning storms to stop- its metal barns and coops). The most luxurious thing in my life that makes me feel so incredibly spoiled, is ordering feed once a month and having it delivered. I love our local small business hay and feed store so much. Weve decided on which pile of dirt to add to our raised garden beds next. That was a much longer debate than anticipated. We dont really have any piles of dirt or areas that we want to move dirt from. If anything I probably need some brought in for some areas. This weekend we pick up one baby goat, 7 Welsh Harlequin adult ducks (1m/6f), and 6 to 12 roosters that will become dog food. Once people find out we do raw dog food for our dogs we start getting all these donations. People cleaning out their freezer or offal and things from home butchers that they dont want or...roosters. Free dog food is awesome. Speaking of which its time to dehydrate more liver for dog training treats.
