It's Fungus season!

Sometimes it can be difficult to tell if you have lawn disease or burn spots from dog urine. The easiest way to tell is inspecting the edge of the spot, where it turns from yellow to green.

• Dog spots will be straw colored, often times with a ring of darker grass around the edge where the urine was more diluted. The dead spot will not grow larger!

• For fungus, inspect the blades of grass around the edge, where the grass goes from yellow to green. If these blades have yellowish/brown lesions in the middle, then get Fungus Fighter down ASAP!

Conditions are RIPE for lawn fungus. When temps and humidity combine to be 150 points or more, it's prime time for slime time. Get your Fungus Fighter down before the rain!

Uncle's Tips for keeping disease out of your lawn:

- Apply Fungus Fighter preventatively (especially in areas where you've had problems in the past).
- Water deeply and infrequently (1-2 times per week).
- Water in the early morning and avoid watering in the evening or overnight.
- Mow regularly but avoid cutting the lawn too short.
