Before & After – Correcting an Improper Water Conditioning Installation
In the first photo, the water conditioning equipment—originally installed by another company—was set up incorrectly. The water softener was placed before the acid neutralizer, preventing the system from softening the water effectively. Additionally, the inlet and outlet lines were reversed, and the backwash drains were tied directly into the waste pipe—creating a risk of sewer contamination entering the water supply.
The second photo shows the system properly installed: the neutralizer is positioned before the softener, the plumbing is correctly oriented, and the drains are safely connected. To ensure peak performance and water quality, all systems were thoroughly cleaned before being reinstalled.
