This is the first guitar I did an epoxy finish on. It had a cracked top that I repaired then did an epoxy resin top on it. This is a video of Jason Porter playing this guitar and below is his review of this guitar. Thanks Jason.

Resin Cap Washburn Dreadnought
By Jason Porter
In the world of unconventional instruments, the resin-top acoustic guitar is among the most
unique. This particular model is an early to mid-1980s Washburn dreadnought. It boasts many
high-end features, such as pearl inlays, Grover die-cast gold tuners, binding along the neck and
body, and a rosewood bridge. The refinished resin cap is a beautiful collage of earth tones, with
swirls of hazel, white, and ocean blues flowing into a deep midnight black.
Tonally, the resin-top Washburn lies between a traditional wood body and a steel-bodied
resonator, delivering extra twang and brightness with plenty of punch. The highlight of this
instrument is its playability. The smooth satin finish and medium C-profile neck make it easy to
keep the licks flowing effortlessly all night long. This vintage resin-top Washburn is one-of-a-kind
and would be the centerpiece of any collection.
