A couple weeks ago, this was nothing more than a few holes in the ground.

Now the foundation walls are poured, the structure is taking shape, and we’re officially off to building.

It’s always exciting to reach the point where a project starts to feel real and you can truly appreciate the scale, complexity, and craftsmanship behind what’s to come.

Still a lot ahead, but this is where the fun begins!

A little progress check on one of our newest estates. 👏🏼

This property is taking shape starting with a dedicated property management barn and office designed to support the day to day operations of the estate. We still wanted this space to feel intentional and connected to the architecture of the project as a whole.

Still a long way to go on this one, but watching it come together is always the fun part!

We always talk about how the smallest details can completely change a space, and this is a perfect example.

Our client wanted to elevate her everyday living areas with more depth, texture, and character, so we collaborated with on this custom lime plaster finish. Keith’s attention to detail throughout the entire process was incredible, and watching the craftsmanship come to life was just as impressive as the finished result.

One of our favorite things about lime plaster is how much it changes throughout the day. Depending on the light, it can feel soft and subtle or rich and dramatic. The movement, texture, and natural variation add so much warmth to these soaring walls and completely transform the atmosphere of the room.

A few of these photos were taken while portions of the plaster were still drying, which gives a great look at the process and how the finish evolves. Seeing the wet and dry areas side by side really highlights the depth, texture, and character that make lime plaster so special!

Meet our interns 👏🏼

A few fresh faces around the studio this summer and we’re excited to have them be part of the team. Megan is currently studying Interior Design at Purdue Fort Wayne, while Noah and Kevin are both in the Architecture program at Ball State!

From site visits and selections to drawings, renderings, and all the behind the scenes details, they’ve already jumped right in and kept up with the pace around here. Excited to see what they learn, create, and bring to the table over the next few months!

Three unique homes, one incredible stretch of Lake James. The blue contemporary guest house brings a Malibu inspired feel to the lake and will coordinate with the future main lake house below, while the neighboring lot is set to become a charming 30A inspired cottage. We cannot wait to continue designing this trio and watch each home bring its own personality to the shoreline.
