2 years ago I took the leap back full-time into what I’ve loved since before I could write, which is creating. Partly because of my own desire, but I also had another agenda in mind:
It’s been my belief, in society today, the act of creating has fallen to the wayside, in favor of merely managing creation, or not being involved at all. Several damaging effects have resulted:
* A severe shortage of blue-collar workers in the country
* A generation of kids being inspired more by the acquisition of wealth than creativity, imagination, or learning
* Millions of people suffering from depression in their continual chase to acquire that wealth.
* A grave reduction in ethics, self-worth, accountability, and pride.
I’ve been doubly-blessed, in that I have been involved in many unique projects, as well as getting to learn something I knew nothing about, which is videography.
My goal has always been thus, to make build videos that might interest someone, that normally would never be interested, simple because the video was entertaining. The hope is to inspire someone to create something of their own. It wouldn’t matter whether it were a construction project, video project, drawing, piece of clothing, poem, painting, piece of music, recipe, etc.
Thanks to the musicians that have graciously allowed me to utilize their music in some of my videos, in the hopes that the song choice might just get someone to watch longer than they normally would haha.
With all that being said, it’s been way too long since dropping my last video. And in commemoration of almost 5 years since my first build video, I’ll be posting/reposting all the videos I’ve made in sequential order, beginning with 4 all new build videos, and moving back in time every week, to see the progression from when I knew pretty much nothing. (I’m still no Spielberg, but I’m definitely better than I was).
If you’re a parent, do yourselves a favor and show some to your kids. Or just watch for yourself, in lieu of a string of TikTok videos.
For the record, this is not any sort of advertisement for my work (I’m already booked till 2022).
