We just wrapped up this kitchen install, and it’s a good example for what’s on the rise!

For the main perimeter cabinets, this homeowner went with a warm tone of gray. They introduced a contrast with deep navy blue on the island and bar.

For the tops, we installed 3cm Calacatta Fresco quartz, and extended the material vertically into a full-height backsplash. Fresco is a new color that features both soft gray and subtle brown details against a crisp white undertone. And it’s been very popular.

This stone uses a consistent, fine speckle pattern rather than sharp, dramatic veining. We’re seeing a significant shift toward this style because it prevents pure white taking over without making it all too crowded.
