We are growing🌱way more than just flowers this year!šŸŒøšŸ’• If you follow me personally, you already know our family is getting ready to welcome our newest addition to the farm in the first part of August!

We are slowly working on getting ready to get all the dahlia tubers in the ground. Probably a week or so later than normal, but that’s ok! I’m expecting things to be very different this year. I’m mostly a one woman show and business and I both will be slower.🤣

So a few updates for 2026….

I will not be participating in the Rural Roots Road Tour this year, but I’m so excited to hopefully rejoin the tour in the future!

Flower bouquet subscriptions will not be offered.

I am not booking any small events!

The flower stand may or may not be open on a random basis.. I know this is not ideal, but unfortunately at this time I really can’t commit to having any set hours. If and when I do have flowers out, I will be sure to post at least a day or two in advance. I will be recovering from a C-section and soaking in precious newborn snuggles during peak flower stand and dahlia bloom time!

Lastly, thank YOU for sticking around following and supporting me in this little business the last 3 years! Our Lexington community is so sweet. I look forward to continue to share the beauty of flowers with you all in the future!

We are set to go live with the dahlia tuber sale tomorrow 4/8 at 10 AM!!

I’m spending today doing final counts and inspections and uploading inventory on my square site. I’ll put the link in the comments! Please check it out before the sale for info on shipping and updated 2026 tuber sale info/policies.

I’ll have 21 varieties for sale this year with the option for pickup or shipping within the state of Indiana. My square site has tons more pictures and a description for each variety, but for those just window shopping I’ve included a photo and name of each variety in the photos belowšŸŒøšŸ„”

I did a couple test runs last night to make sure things run smoothly tomorrow, but PLEASE shoot me a message if you run in to any problems or have questions😊

Let’s chat tubers! Pictured here is a pile of tubersšŸ„”You only need one tuber body with an intact ā€œneckā€ and an eye to grow in to a beautiful dahlia plant. The eye is simply the growing point on your tuber. I like to wake all of my tubers up and ensure they have a healthy sprouted/growing eye before selling! The cool thing about tubers is that size truly does not matter as long as it has a body, neck and eye. But don’t worry, I don’t sell anything smaller than a AA battery. I keep the ā€œruntsā€ and ugly ones to plant myselfšŸ˜‰

Wait to plant until the weather and soil warms and all frost is out of the forecast. Usually that would be between Derby and Mother’s Day around here. They like full sun (6+ hours) daily in a spot with well draining, fertile soil. Plant them 4-6ā€ deep on their side with the eye facing up and watch them grow!!

Let’s take a minute and see what a dahlia plant looks like! I share lots of pictures of their flowers, but not a ton of the plant itself. If you scroll through the photos you’ll see varying stages of growth from just sprouted through the soil to fully grown and about to flower. I plant and sell single tubers, not clumps! Each hole in the landscape fabric you see is planted with a single tuber 4-6ā€ deep and 18ā€ apart.

Mark your calendars! It’s finally happening! My square site will be live with dahlia tubers to purchase beginning April 8th! If you visit my site before then, you will likely see varieties I will have for sale listed as ā€œsold outā€ All items will remain this way until the 8th when I update final stock counts. Feel free to browse and make your wishlists until then. I am still editing the site, so there are a few varieties I will hopefully be adding over the next week. I’ll post the link in the comments.

And yes, I AM shipping to my Indiana friends this year🄰 I do not currently have the licensure to legally ship over state lines. I’m growing in tiny steps every year. Thank you in advance for supporting small local farms. Please share with your gardening friends!
