Pink yarrow harvest day. I love yarrow. I grow it for two purposes: cottage flower garden and medicinal purposes. If I were having a wedding with a whimsical, or cottage core theme I world definitely put yarrow in my bouquet.

New item in the farm stands this week: garlic rolls! Y’all these rolls are jumbo and so delicious especially for those that crave savory little something.

We’re just going to keep going with herbs apparently. This is how I trim my mint and remember to grow them in pots unless you want to become a mint farmer.

Fun fact about wedding flowers. Wedding arrangements and bouquets are usually considered top dollar for flowers. Peonies are the most sought after wedding flowers. They bloom for a very short time during the year, and the plant takes three years usually to produce blooms. So, if you’re getting married this year and hope to include these gorgeous blooms- plan your budget accordingly.

A few years ago, I really started looking into the type of flour that we were using, and how it was affecting my daughter‘s eczema.

Out of a desire to keep as much nutrition as possible, and to eliminate as many unnecessary processes or ingredients, we wanted to use freshly-ground flour. The problem was: in our area there just wasn’t anything locally available. So we started grinding our own.

We would love to be the local option for you. Now available on our website are 5 pound bags of freshly ground hard red and hard white wheat flours. Perfect for seasonal and holiday baking.
