Warm, layered materials and moody textures shape each space, from the bar and theater to the library lounge, adding depth and atmosphere throughout. This project is a celebration of historic preservation through transformation, giving new life to the structure while honoring its past.

Set among the rolling hills of Woodford County, this custom residence was designed as a modern interpretation of Colonial Revival architecture. Its columned porch, dormered rooflines, and Shingle Style influences reflect classic American design, while light-filled interiors and layered natural materials lend a sense of understated sophistication. Expansive windows and French doors open to deep porches, terraces, and gardens, creating a seamless connection to the surrounding landscape. The equestrian facilities and landscape design celebrate the beauty and refinement of Kentucky horse country, completing a contemporary estate rooted in timeless tradition.

GTT was proud to transform a 1920s gas station at Main & Clay into Pomegranate’s flagship store, creating a light-filled retail space that opens onto a garden courtyard with an accessory building where Penny’s Restaurant is now located. The new layout encourages an easy flow between shopping, dining, and outdoor gathering.

Custom millwork, layered lighting, mint-green doors, brick, gravel, and woven shade reference the site’s history while introducing a relaxed, European-inspired atmosphere. The project brings fresh life to a historic corner in downtown Lexington.

GTT authored the full architectural and interior design scope for this comprehensive renovation and addition to an early twentieth-century farmhouse. The design preserved the home’s historic character while layering in contemporary elements that bring light, openness, and modern function.

A new primary suite addition was carefully scaled to complement the massing of the original farmhouse, its form sympathetic yet distinct. Contemporary infusions, including ample glazing, clean detailing, and unexpected spatial connection, create a sense of freshness without overpowering the existing structure.

At the rear, the addition opens into a courtyard anchored by a pool and flanked by the main house, the new suite wing, and a pool house. This outdoor ensemble creates a private oasis, blending architecture and landscape into a seamless backdrop for daily living and entertaining.
