We are excited to welcome Emily Wells, our newest intern in the Nashville office, to our team! Originally from Hopkinsville, KY, Emily moved to Nashville to pursue her Bachelor of Architecture at O'More College of Architecture & Design at Belmont University. We’re excited to announce two promotions at Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects: Darrell Douglas has been named Director of Construction Administration and Chad Hutchins has been named Director of the firm’s Site Division.

Darrell brings more than 30 years of experience and is known for his hands-on approach and strong collaboration with contractors and clients. In this new role, Darrell Douglas will help lead and strengthen our construction administration efforts across our projects and studios, continuing our commitment to delivering exceptional service throughout the construction process.

Chad has been with Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects for 21 years. As Site Department Director, Chad will help lead the continued growth and advancement of Sherman Carter Barnhart’s site design efforts, supporting projects across our markets while ensuring coordination, innovation, and project delivery throughout the firm.

Three of our outstanding interns—Clare Hardwick, Ashton Lane, and Fletcher Wright—are graduating from the University of Kentucky and will be joining our team full-time. Ashton and Fletcher will continue their work in our Lexington office, while Clare will be bringing her talents to our Nashville team. Each of them has already made a meaningful impact through their dedication, creativity, and collaborative spirit, and we can’t wait to see all they accomplish in this next chapter.
