Project Golden Hills | Primary Bath

For this primary bathroom refresh, the homeowner wanted to work with as much of the original space as possible, so our approach was very intentional about what we kept and what we updated.

One element we decided to keep, for now, was the existing floor tile. We did however remove any additional accent pieces that didn’t lend itself to the softer, more refined feeling we wanted to create. Among the original pieces that stayed was the vanity chair, which was given new life with fresh paint and upholstery.

As for the rest of the space, painted cabinetry, new countertops, warm brass finishes, functional mill work, updated lighting and plumbing fixtures, a softer color palette and carefully considered details brought everything together without losing the traditional character that was already here.

The result feels lighter, more refined, and has the serene, spa like feeling I envisioned for the homeowner🤍

This beautiful Thibaut wallpaper was the jumping-off point for a commercial project currently underway in the heart of downtown Lexington.

Keeping in mind the client’s favorite color palette, we pulled colors and coordinating fabrics directly from the wallpaper, including this sweet green and white print, to create a space that feels cohesive, layered and full of personality.

Project Waters Edge | Dining & Entertaining

What was once a blank wall is now one of the hardest-working features in the room. Custom built-ins transformed this space by adding abundant concealed storage, a dry bar, floating shelves, integrated window seats and beautiful Taj Mahal quartzite countertops finished with warm brass hardware.

To create a sense of continuity throughout the home, we selected a vertical mosaic tile inspired by the color palette of the artwork in the neighboring living room. This subtle detail ties the two spaces together while adding texture, movement, and a custom feel.

The space was completed with a beautiful dining table and a custom rug underfoot, helping define the entertaining area while adding warmth, softness and another layer of thoughtful design.

Every detail was carefully considered to create a space that is as functional as it is beautiful. Designed for gathering, entertaining and everyday living🤍

A thoughtfully designed home should tell one cohesive story.

For the sitting area at Project Waters Edge, the sofa and loveseat were already in place when I joined the project. My role was to build on that foundation by carefully selecting every remaining element. Those selections included custom window treatments, furnishings, lighting, textiles and accessories to create a room that feels timeless, collected and worthy of its beautiful views of Lake Murray.

The best transformations don’t always require starting over. They require a thoughtful eye and an intentional plan.

Beautiful window treatments are about so much more than fabric. They’re about craftsmanship, proportion and creating a finished space that feels thoughtfully designed.

One of my favorite parts of the design process is creating custom window treatments tailored specifically to each home. Through my trusted workroom, I’m able to design custom drapery, Roman shades, cornices, and decorative hardware that are made to fit your windows perfectly.

This is a part of design that has been woven into my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in my family’s fabric business, I was surrounded by textiles, trims, and window treatments from an early age. That foundation, combined with my personal experiences throughout the Midlands, allows me to create timeless, custom solutions that simply can’t be replicated with ready-made.

Project Pond View | Living Room

This living room transformation was about creating a space designed for connection rather than a room centered around a television.

We replaced the dated finishes and visual clutter with comfortable, inviting furnishings that encourage conversation and gathering. A generous seating arrangement, layered with coordinating patterns and soft textures, creates a welcoming place to relax, while carefully selected lamps add tons of texture, warmth and interest throughout the room.

To ground the space, we selected a custom 10’ x 14’ oushak rug and a substantial dark wood coffee table with a masculine presence. The scale of both pieces helps anchor the room, while the rug introduces soft color and pattern that ties seamlessly into the surrounding spaces. The coffee table’s rich finish provides contrast to the lighter upholstery and complements the warm brass accents used throughout the home, creating a balanced and cohesive design.

One of the most important goals for this project was ensuring the living room felt connected to the surrounding spaces. Soft blue-green tones, warm neutrals, brass finishes, and traditional patterns were thoughtfully repeated throughout the home, creating a natural flow from room to room. The result is a living room that feels inviting, timeless, and perfectly suited for both everyday living and effortless entertaining.

The first impression sets the tone for the entire home. This entry was no exception.

What was once a bright yellow, dated space has been thoughtfully transformed into a warm and welcoming introduction to the home. The design began with this stunning sisal wallcovering whose stylized pattern instantly adds depth, character, and a sense of quiet sophistication. From there, every detail was carefully considered, including a custom rug to create a seamless transition into the adjoining rooms and reinforce the soft, layered palette carried throughout the home.

Overhead, a statement fixture introduces a subtle masculine element to the design. Its sculptural form echoes the stripe found in the wall covering pattern, while the warm brass finish adds a much needed warmth and richness.

Though modest in size, this entry now feels intentional, timeless and inviting, offering guests a beautiful first glimpse of the thoughtfully curated spaces that lie beyond the front door.

Project Pondview | Dining Room Reveal ✨

Nestled in the heart of downtown Lexington, this late 1970s two story ranch home is being thoughtfully reimagined room by room for the most fabulous clients.

Beginning in the dining room, the goal was to create a space that felt layered, timeless and deeply rooted in Southern tradition while still feeling fresh and refined. To introduce more architectural character, I had custom trim box molding added beneath the existing chair rail and the entire room fully painted in preparation for this breathtaking hand painted landscape mural. I worked closely with the muralist to ensure the mural captured the soft, muted palette I selected throughout the surrounding spaces, allowing the home to feel beautifully cohesive from room to room.

To further elevate the space, we selected this stunning chandelier, adding just the right amount of Southern elegance and warmth. Custom window treatments from my workroom, finished in a beautiful tassel fringe, soften the room while adding another thoughtful layer of texture and detail. We then completed the space with this gorgeous dining set and sideboard, creating a room that feels both elevated and welcoming.

Every detail, down to the custom oushak rug underfoot, was intentionally selected to create a dining space designed for good cocktails, meaningful gatherings and hosting family and friends for years to come.
