When Shannon and I bought the Hillenmeyer Christmas Shop from my parents 15 years ago, it was already a long-standing family tradition. Hillenmeyer Nurseries began selling trees and wreaths in 1951. We are proud to carry that legacy and are so fortunate to carry your loyalty as well. This year, however, we have come to the very difficult decision to take a hiatus from Hillenmeyer Christmas Shop. We always strive for excellence in both the products we carry and the service we provide. Given the demands from our other businesses and staffing, we knew we could not provide the standard to which we hold ourselves and the quality and care our valued customers deserve.
This is not a permanent pause, rather it’s a “see you soon.” To all of you who have come to share your own family traditions with us—your loyalty means the world; we never take it for granted. We ask that you hold a place for us in your Christmas spirit, so when we return with hot cider and fresh evergreens we can begin again, making old traditions new and new traditions old!
