June is a month when gardeners and garden centers celebrate perennial plants. And there are so many to enjoy! Perennials are wonderful in the landscape because they come in all shapes, sizes and colors. But just as people come with assorted appearances and personalities, perennial plants do as well....

We regret to inform you that the Georgia Peach Truck Summer 2022 Road Trip has been CANCELLED due to a peach harvest in Georgia that continues to fail expectations.

While Dickey Farms recognized frost damage with their early varieties in May, they expected conditions to improve. However, latent frost damage continued into June, and the entire tour was cancelled after a failed picking on Sunday. No one wants malformed peaches.

To those customers who pre-ordered with Georgia Peach Truck, you will receive an email regarding the cancellation. Refunds will be processed as soon as possible, but because each refund needs to be processed individually and Stonegate Gardens was not the only stop on the tour, refunds could take up to four days.

We understand your frustration; we are frustrated too. But it is a situation that is out of our control, and on behalf of Georgia Peach truck we apologize.

We’re thrilled with our new Perennial Yard (featuring beautiful brick paths and a pavilion) and from what we’ve been hearing — so are you.

And while these perennials look like they’re planted in our gardens, they’re actually potted up and ready for your garden. Our new perennials manager Joanne loves helping folks create color blasts from the amazing selection she’s been curating all spring and now into summer.

Sunday was Adam’s first visit to Stonegate Gardens (but it won’t be his last). With a major assist from Donna, one of our Nursery Specialists, Adam assembled the garden he’d been envisioning for years.

He selected a few knockout (Bloodgood, Tamukeyama), two Golden Drawf Hinoki Cypress and a Sanders Blue Alberta Spruce from in Oregon, two Thuja Mr. Bowling Balls, a Royal Purple Smoke Tree, and more.

We loaded up Adam’s pickup with some bags of Soil Solution and Bio-Tone Starter Plus, and he was off for an afternoon of major planting.

They won’t let us play in the , which kinda stinks on a scorcher like today!

But we’re enjoying the shade from the trees and the cascading sounds of the water just the same. Not a day goes by that we don’t appreciate the extraordinary throughout our 5.5 acre property.
