On 12 September 2021 I reached the 50 year milestone in my career as an Architect. Well over half of those years were in private practice at the Lincoln Trade Center as Dennis J. Lyon, Architects.

It is with gratitude that I find myself on the threshold of retirement. My career was part of Gods' plan for my life and He has blessed me and my family beyond measure. To God be the glory !!!

"Only one life will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last" . . . I often marvel at how doors close and doors open, so to speak, and I would be the first to confess that my career was not of any special gift which I possess . . . it was Gods' leading . . . for which I am continually grateful .

My hope and my prayer is that you, those who labored with me and those how were part of my journey, are or will be at a point in your life where Jesus is your Savior and Lord. We are all going to move on and it is my prayer that you, in faith, will acknowledge that Jesus, the Son of God, died in your place so that you may be, in the sight of God, without sin. Jesus defeated sin and death by His resurrection and has ascended into Heaven awaiting His return for the rapture of the Church. Personally acknowledging that IS accepting the free gift of eternal salvation . . . nothing more and nothing less is required. Romans 10:9-10, 13 I Thessalonians 4:17.

I look forward to an eternity in the presence of my Savior, My God . . . and YOU !

PS: I recall making reference to Mathew 24:36-39 at an office Christmas Party describing the time of Noah in comparison to our present days and in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 concerning the characteristics of the "last days". I encourage you to check them out for a comparison to the world in which we now live.
