We had a pretty cool moment last week.🥹

A gentleman called looking for rubber mulch for a church playground project in Iberia. As we talked, we learned their church youth group had traveled all the way from Lake Forest, Illinois, to serve communities here in Missouri through outreach projects.

When they arrived to pick up the mulch, a van full of teens jumped out ready to help load. One girl shared that she’s been on several of these mission trips and always looks forward to them.

It was so refreshing to see young people willing to drive 7 hours to serve others and help create a better space for kids to play.

What a beautiful reminder of God’s people serving their brothers and sisters in Christ. We’re grateful we got to be a small part of it.🙌

1) Unauthorized Touching
Multiple employees continue to pet me with their hands. I have repeatedly stated I prefer to be admired from a respectful distance… with your eyes.

2) Inadequate Snack Tribute
I am detecting a severe lack of “lunch sharing” across the premises. I can smell chicken from three rooms away, yet my bowl remains tragically empty. Explain.

3) Excessive Noise & Heavy Equipment Drama
The loader is loud, the doors slam, and someone keeps dropping things like they’re auditioning for a demolition crew. I require peace and quiet to maintain my superiority.

4) Light Usage Violations
Why is the driver room light on during my scheduled nap block? If you need to read the load board, try using your instincts.

5) Personal Space Invasions
People keep walking by my perch and making comments like “awww.” This is not a petting zoo. This is my kingdom.

Resolution Requested:

Implement mandatory “quiet porch time” daily
Establish a snack tax program
Train humans on appropriate admiration techniques
Reduce unnecessary movement within 10 feet of Rocky at all times

Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action including: stares, ignoring you, and selective ankle violence. 😼
