In 1975, our founder, Austin Rice, established Mid Atlantic Asphalt with a commitment to honest pricing, effective communication, and superior workmanship that surpassed industry standards at the time. Dedicated to the community where he was raised, Austin focused on serving local businesses in Anne Arundel County.

What began as a locally rooted enterprise has expanded steadily over the past five decades to neighboring counties and bordering states. Austin’s straightforward yet effective business model has been passed down to his son, Warren, and grandson, Chris, who now own the company.

Although the business has grown considerably since its founding, the core principles established by Austin remain unchanged.
