16 years ago we got married and took a trip to Hawaii. Today, we woke up at 5 and are heading to the McKinney farmers market. The destination may not be quite as exciting today but the Journey has been the best 16 years of my life. Happy anniversary to my sweet wife!!

This is a photo of my dad Val, the name sake of our coffee steak rub. It was taken the last Sunday of his life that he was well enough to make it to church. He was a great example of what a father should be, not just to his kids but to so many people he came in contact with. Also in the picture, on the right, is pastor Jelani who just so happened to preach today. Happy Father’s Day Dad!
