Design First Kitchen & Bath is a professional kitchen and bath design and remodeling company located in Littleton, CO. We are extreme-planners, over-thinkers, and predictors of the future (like, you are going to wish you had a trash pull-out over here). During your initial free consultation with Trip you will discuss your vision, needs and expectations, including what you love and/or hate about yo

ur existing kitchen. He likes to begin with precise measurement of the area, all the magazine photos or internet images you have collected, and a general expectation of your budget. Design is a “process” that is most productive when the homeowner and the designer work together. Trip respects the desires and concerns of his customers by listening to their needs, not wasting their time and by always doing what he says he will do. Considering the amount of money and effort at stake, it is just impossible to do too much prior planning. The “unexpected” can wreak havoc on a well-considered budget. Phase 1 ends when the customer has final CAD plans in hand, suitable for permitting, as required, quotes from remodeling contractors & sub-contractors, and estimating quantities of cabinetry, flooring, and countertops. Since Phase 1 operates on a design retainer model, these plans become the personal property of the customer to go forward with as they please. Our clients may be planning to pursue their own contractor or choosing to do-it-yourself. Or they can choose to move forward on their project with Design First (Phase 2). Just finished a small but mighty project.
A small house in Centennial, with 3 bedrooms upstairs that turned into a main-floor master suite.
1=Bathtub shower room with a
1=Larger master bedroom
1=Walkin closet
1=Master vanity and walk-through

We recently worked with a couple that were going to do their remodeling themselves. Yes, a DIY'r The two of them and their 2 5-year-old girls *twins. They had a Design First plan, a timeline, and tons of experience to get the job done when they needed it to be done. However, that didn't include the county taking 14 weeks to approve their permit. !! 14-weeks!! The county finally got there to approve the permit work, and the remodel started being done. Those two had a previously planned Labor Day weekend for a family reunion and 2 weeks to complete the kitchen remodel. "Kitchen remodel" doesn't do the scope of the job justice. They completed the following tasks;
Install cabinets, adjust the cabinet doors, install appliances, and tile backsplash. Install lighting and hang the floating shelves * that they made, and paint the shiplap fireplace wall, *that they installed. And more. They are rock stars! Excellent job! The family reunion went off without a hitch. National Association of the Remodeling Industry
