Here are a few tips to help you get it right:

1️⃣ Measure your dining table. Start by measuring the length and width of your table.

2️⃣ Add 24–30 inches on EACH side. Ideally, your rug should extend at least 24 inches beyond the table on all sides. This gives you enough room to pull chairs out without the back legs catching on the edge of the rug.

3️⃣ Think about your chair placement. Make sure the chairs stay completely on the rug, even when pulled out. This is key!

4️⃣ Consider the shape. A rectangular table typically looks best with a rectangular rug, while a round table pairs beautifully with a round rug.

5️⃣ Don’t forget the material! Choose a low-pile, durable rug that’s easy to clean and can handle everyday dining.

✨ DESIGNER TIP: When in doubt, go one size bigger rather than smaller! A rug that’s too small can make the entire dining space feel disconnected.
