Our artifact this week is an item from our bobsled display. The little Giant Ice Breaker was manufactured by Micron Inc. located in Bettendorf, Iowa. This handy machine was used to reduce large blocks of ice into golf ball size pieces. The Little Giant was popular in the 1920’s used in food service before electric freezers and ice makers.
