Kind of long but this is what happens when you go with the lowest bid.
“Recently had 6’ vinyl privacy fence installed. There were many concerns from day one and now that it’s finished, we have great concerns over the quality of work that was done and whether it would even last in a storm so I hired a third-party company to perform an inspection. Results came in that the fence needs to be redone. Crumbly concrete. At most 1 to 2 inches thick around posts. Posts were not dug down past the frost line. The posts have a lot of give, and are not solid. Other issues were bottom rail was installed 8 inches above ground not 2 inches. I caught that right away and they corrected it. “Accidental” cuts were made in the vinyl, channel pieces were done sloppy and popping out, they did not evenly space out all the sections and it just looks tacky. They used my water without asking permission or informing me. They destroyed our inground wireless dog fence, dug into the marked irrigation pipes, ignored them and poured cement around them which cost me a few hundred dollars in irrigation repairs. But obviously the main concern is how the posts are not secure. I need to talk to the owner and send this in writing to him.
