Mexican Beach Pebbles are known for their black appearance, but actually the colors range from dark gray, grays, jade and deep reds. Some customers have requested more dark gray and gray hues without the other shades. In response, some suppliers have begun utilizing chemical treatments to achieve a consistently darker coloration. We have chosen to meet our customers’ request with a better alternative, introducing the Peruvian Pebbles which are all natural and hand selected to prevent breakage. They look very similar to the Mexican Beach Pebbles, but without the jade and red hues. The disadvantage is the labor intensity of harvesting the Pebbles and, of course, the freight expense from South America to South Mississippi. We currently have the 2-3” and 3-5” sizes available.
