That doesn’t mean we don’t care about your homes value. It means we don’t design your home around what a future buyer might want.

We design for you.

Your lifestyle. Your routines. The way you entertain. The things you love. The way you want your home to feel.

The homes we create are highly personalized and distinctive because we believe your home should reflect the people who live there, not appeal to the White as possible audience.

Some of our clients plan to live in their homes for decades. Others hope to eventually pass them down to their children or grandchildren.

Not every project is the right fit—and that’s a good thing.

Here are three reasons we may decide we’re not the right studio for a project:

1. The timeline requires us to rush.
Thoughtful design takes time. So does planning, sourcing, construction, procurement, and installation. When a project needs to be finished “yesterday,” decisions become pressured, details get missed, and compromises are made that can lead to regret later.

We’d rather set a realistic timeline from the beginning and give your home the attention it deserves.

2. The rapport isn’t there.
This one matters more than people might think. We work closely with our clients for many months—and sometimes years. We’re navigating big decisions, construction challenges, budgets, deadlines, and a lot of time together.

The client experience is incredibly important to us, and we believe the best projects happen when there is mutual trust, respect, and yes… we genuinely enjoy working together.

3. The investment doesn’t align with the scope.
A smaller budget isn’t automatically a dealbreaker. But providing the level of service, quality, and finished result our studio is known for requires a significant investment.

We’d rather be transparent about that from the start than promise an outcome that isn’t realistic for the scope and budget.

And if we’re not the right fit? That doesn’t mean your project isn’t a great one. There are talented designers and design studios working at many different investment levels, and when we know someone who may be better suited to your project, we’re always happy to make a recommendation.

Because finding the right designer is just as important as finding a designer.

There’s a reason why we love custom cabinetry…and it’s not just because it looks beautiful.

It gives us the freedom to design around the way you actually live.

For this pantry, that meant thinking through everything from where the small appliances would live to specifying the exact depth of the open shelves to accommodate the storage jars without sacrificing a comfortable walkway.

These are small details but together they’re what make a space feel intuitive, functional and completely considered.

Because your home should be designed around you.

If your goal is to enjoy your renovated beach house by next summer, planning starts much sooner than most homeowners realize.

One of the biggest misconceptions is that you hire a designer and contractor when you’re ready to start construction.

In reality, that’s often too late.

The design phase comes first. Floor plans, selections, construction drawings, pricing, revisions, and approvals all need to happen before a contractor can begin. That process alone can take several weeks, and both designers and contractors often book their schedules months in advance.

The homeowners who enjoy a completed renovation by summer aren’t the ones who start construction in the spring.

They’re the ones who started planning months before.
