Our clients had one idea. We saw another possibility. ✨

At Project Sandwood, the first plan was to line the primary bedroom with closets. That's plenty of storage, but a bedroom working that hard stops feeling like a retreat.

So we drew up their version, then showed them another option side by side: splitting the long primary wing into three connected rooms. A walk-through closet on the way to the primary bath gave them the biggest custom walk-in we could fit. It stays window-free, so the bathroom gets all the natural light. And the old, tiny closet? It's now a built-in home office.

This is why every primary suite renovation we take on starts with the layout. Get that right, and everything else falls into place.

A room can have perfect furniture and still feel like a showroom. Art is usually what’s missing. 🎨✨

It’s often the first thing your eye goes to. It anchors a space, brings in color and texture, and ties together pieces that might otherwise feel disconnected.

Something most people don’t know about me: my degree is in Fine Art Design, and I spent my first 10 years out of college working in museums and private collections. I led a team that designed installations and placed significant pieces of art in clients’ homes. That experience shaped how I see every room, and it’s why art is still one of my favorite parts of this job.

What I love most is that art makes a room feel personal. The pieces my clients choose reflect who they are: their interests, their memories, the things they find beautiful.

A home should be more than well-designed. It should feel like the people who live there.

Here’s what five blank walls looked like before and after the art went up. Some are pieces my clients already owned and loved, and some are from my own collection.

Trust the process, even when it looks like a mess.

At Project Los Alamos, my clients bought a flipped home that felt generic. They wanted it layered, personal, and full of character.

I came on with construction already underway, so the work was knowing what to change, what could stay, and where the budget would go furthest. That meant rethinking key areas, solving plumbing and construction puzzles, and making hundreds of decisions that never show up in the final photos.

It isn’t always pretty, and it doesn’t need to be. My clients bring the vision. My job is to carry the hard decisions and get them there.

Every inch should earn its keep. ✨

Some of our favorite moments in this kitchen design are the ones you might not notice at first — the spots we turned into storage instead of letting them go to waste.

Just off the kitchen, the dining nook bench hides pull-out drawers built right into the base cabinetry (slides 1–2). All that extra storage, zero extra floor space.

Between the laundry and the drop zone, we tucked in a full-height pull-out pantry (slides 3–5). It holds more than you'd expect and keeps the nearby counters clear for actually using them.

And on slide 6: a custom chopping board made to sit over the electric range when it's off. Instant extra prep space for weeknight cooking or setting out a spread when friends come over.

Smart storage and surfaces that do double duty — the small details that make a busy kitchen feel easy.

Four days. Endless showrooms. One very full camera roll. ✨

High Point Market is one of the biggest furnishings trade shows in the world — designers, brands, and makers all in one place, showing what’s next in furniture, textiles, and materials.

But the best part is always the little things: the hand-finished edge on a table, the fabric you can’t stop touching, the conversations with friends in the industry. All of it comes home with me to our little studio in Los Alamitos, and into the spaces I design for my clients.

We have an announcement!!! We have a new office & warehouse!!!🤍🤍🤍

Oohhhh, we are beyond excited for this next chapter or 2.0 at unit 2 as we’ve been referring to it! There is still plenty to do (apparently we are styling hoarders?) but we cannot wait to get settled into our new space and share more with you all!! ✨

A peek behind the scenes at Project Monlaco, where we reimagined a home that wasn't working for its family. Swipe through to see the transformation 👉

Plenty of space, but the layout wasn't working. The family needed another bedroom, a true primary suite, room for two to work from home, a laundry room that made sense, and more bedroom privacy.

We opened up the kitchen and living areas for a more natural flow, while giving the dining room a place of its own. This family loves lingering over meals and board games.

Then we reworked the rest of the plan: closets in every bedroom, a dedicated laundry room, and an expansion toward the backyard without touching the front or sides of the house.

The fun part: layering tile, textures, tones, and finishes into one cohesive palette!

Behind every finished bathroom is work you don't always see. Progress in both the primary and shared baths.

The shared bath coming together, as the material selections move from plans to reality.

Cabinetry in, and the kitchen and living areas finally feel like one connected space.

The dining room taking shape, with plenty of cabinetry to keep board games and family essentials within reach.

The reveal! We balanced her love of traditional, timeless design with his preference for minimalism. Clean and minimal, but still cozy, with warm woods and deep green.

Warm wood cabinetry, cream uppers, and green tile carry through the home, each room striking its own balance between classic and minimal. Cohesive, not compromised.
