When your landscape designer and your builder actually talk to each other, beauty happens.
This Boulder landscape was a big undertaking, and we want to tell you all about it. 🫶🏻
We completed this project in tandem with the entire home remodel, working cohesively with the builder and our clients to ensure various points of egress, along with clear views from the inside of the home to the landscape.
The indoor pool opens to a large patio that includes a lounge area along with dining space and an outdoor kitchen. We installed cantilever umbrellas to provide shade during the hot summer months and an outdoor shower to cool off from the indoor sauna.
As one of our main goals, we created an inviting entrance to the home by marrying the house to the ground plane with soft landscaping. We planted a variety of shrubs and perennials for color and interest as the seasons change.
Lighting around the entire home illuminates the pathways our clients and their friends will use in the evening.
And finally, the biggest change to the existing landscape came with replacing vertical timbers with new granite boulders. This will keep the existing berms retained but allow for the root systems of the large pines and spruces to expand and breathe.
