Ants protect aphids! They "ranch" the aphids, feeding off their honeydew and protecting them from beneficial predatory insects. Elaborate more later, it's fascinating and horrible!

Willow has a failed lead. Adventitous roots in center from organic debris and moisture, inner bark from compartmentalization. Reducing leads to mitigate hazards on remaining. Looking at supplemental nutrient and mulch to preserve what's left after mitigation.

Trees! I'm about to run through my list and reach out for the fruit tree prunes, mature tree mitigations, and hazardous ash trees that didn't get treated in time. We arborists are simulated storms, we simply make cleaner cuts.
