Open cell spray foam insulation has a 1-150 times expansion rate. Meaning it works really well with ceiling gaps, cracks, and crevices. I'll probably foamed home works more efficiently than your typical fiberglass home. By creating a more airtight home. Resorting in less money being wasted heating and cooling your home. A properly foamed attic space also helps tremendously. By turning your attic space into conditioned space, you reduce the work load on your HVAC system. Your air conditioner and ductwork are no longer in 140°+ attic space. A properly foamed attic space should be no more than 10° warmer than the interior of the home. Putting foam insulation in a home is an investment. The efficiency gained is so substantial that within a few years it pays itself off and you begin saving money.
