Clearing the air on electric-powered equipment…

Are you curious about the logistics of switching to electric equipment? Here are the answers to the five most common questions… 🌍⚡️

1. How will the switch to electric equipment affect the quality of my service?

You won’t notice a change in the quality of your service… but that service will be a lot quieter!

2. Are there any changes in pricing or an additional service fee?

This switch will help manage our costs, keeping our service prices relatively stable. The costs of obtaining the new equipment will be our responsibility.

3. How does the performance of electric equipment compare to gas-powered tools?

The equipment we’ll use features some of the same proven-tough components used in comparable gas-powered models, giving us uncompromising performance and rugged durability.

4. Will the switch to electric equipment significantly reduce emissions?

Gas-powered equipment emits as many harmful emissions as 11 cars. By switching to electric equipment, we are eliminating these emissions, directly benefiting the health of our community.

5. Are there backup plans in case a battery fails or needs recharging?

Our trucks will be equipped with fully charged backup batteries to ensure uninterrupted service if the primary battery does not have sufficient charge to complete your service.

See why we’re charging ahead with electric-powered equipment…

We’re proud to be at the forefront of Virginia's shift toward eco-friendly landscaping and have committed to transitioning at least 90% of our equipment to eco-friendly, battery-powered alternatives. This move has some significant benefits:

🌿 Eliminating the fuel and maintenance needed for gas-powered equipment allows us to cut costs, not corners.

🌿 Electric-powered equipment has zero CO2 emissions, drastically reducing our environmental footprint. Reducing harmful emissions also contributes to cleaner air for our families and community.

🌿 Noise pollution will be reduced by up to 28% — from 90+ decibels to a whisper-quiet 65-85 decibels (normal conversation is about 75 decibels).

We’re switching gears… and going electric!

Over the next several months, we’ll transition 90% of our gas-powered equipment to eco-friendly electric equipment.

But why are we doing this?

Switching our fleet to battery power is an investment that offers significant returns for our clients, our community, and our planet: like zero emissions, reduced noise levels, and lower operating costs.

And no, this doesn’t mean we’ll charge more. Quite the opposite. Operational efficiencies help keep our prices competitive, and our team focused on what you care about most: healthy lawns and gardens for you to enjoy!

Sometimes, our crew is inspired to be creative... just look at this zig-zag pattern on this estate's lawn!

But mowing patterns into a lawn isn't just for aesthetic appeal. Proper striping involves mowing the grass in different directions, which helps prevent the grass blades from developing a "grain" in one direction, encouraging more even growth and conditioning it to grow upright.
