It’s been a minute since we’ve connected, but it’s definitely time not wasted! I’ve recently moved LA in order to allow myself to experience new things, find myself + most importantly, grow as an individual. The sun fasho hits different out here in LA, but I’m here for it & we hope y’all are too! Lol Now that I’m all settled in, I just wanted to check in with y’all to let you know I’m currently working on new projects for TUMUTUBO & in the process of remaining from the Bay to LA 😎 so I appreciate all your patience + support thus far!

ALL OF 2021 WE’RE BRINGING YOU HAPPINESS THROUGH GROWTH 🌱

It was so dope being able to connect with the Hercules community again! Y’all are awesome for always stayin loyal & showin out for our pop ups. It was a HUGE success! Plus, we love being able to welcome new plant parents to the + be able to grow our own community of individuals that support our purpose! We wanna thank y’all for your understanding + flexibility during the event as we did face minor operational challenges - no biggie. However, we’re very happy that everyone was able to successfully socially distance & keep each other safe while waiting in line & shopping inside our tents 🙏🏽

🇵🇭 Lastly, it was a great pleasure working alongside our friends + to set the vibez outside on the street! Be sure to give them a follow & support.

BACK AT IT AGAIN! 😎

It’s been a minute, but we’re hella excited to see y’all! Special s/o to for putting together an amazing event for the Hercules, Pinole, & Rodeo community. This community event will include about 25 small local businesses, food trucks, & a bay front view! In case y’all missed our last pop-up, best believe that we’re coming in with some 🔥👀 this time around we’re gonna have about 200 plants available to choose from! We’re also bringing along to bring the vibes with some hand-made candles 🕯

We really hope to see y’all there & hope y’all get the chance to take home the plant(s) you’ve always wanted. I might just throw in a rare plant for those plant addicts out there 👀

this right here is my (swag 🎶) LOL. This is my Alocasia Baginda aka ‘Dragon Scale’

y’all know I love me some Alocasias! It’s crazy to think that we’ve been going through this pandemic for officially over a year now, but in that amount of time I still feel the same sense of fulfillment from all my plants. I guess this is what you can call my first ever ‘rare’ plant! Lol Y’all always ask me why I like/own so many Alocasias & honestly although they are super sensitive + dramatic, they are the most rewarding plant when it comes to new growth! It can take week & maybe even months for some to grow one leaf, but it’s the process that gets me. For (most) Alocasias, when new growth forms older leaves may begin to wilt & eventually die off. I’m always lookin back (at it 🎶 lmao) when an older leaf dies & I think about how my personal life was during that time and compare it to where I am today. To keep it simple - sometimes you gotta let sh*t go in order to grow + establish yourself in life.

The One Thing In Life That Is Constant Is Change.

We are extremely thankful + blessed for your loyalty to the Tribe. Most importantly, we are forever grateful to have been able to provide you all with positivity + purpose.

2020 has been an eventful year, to say the least. We all have our own stories & we all have our own paths that we must take. As you know, things change & people change. With all your support, TUMUTUBO has grown tremendously and faster than we could have ever imagined! However, just like plants - in order for us to continue to grow, we must adapt to changes in our environment. With that being said, we are taking some time to relocate.

Take this time to reflect on your growth & check in on your friends and family. In the mean time, please continue to share your stories with us on Instagram! Who knows? Maybe we'll have some pop-up events here and there?!

thankful for y’all! Words cannot express how grateful I truly am for your support with the growth of TUMUTUBO. We’ve come a long way - from Online Live Plant Sale Sundays & Tiny Desk Series to Interior Cultivation & Pop-Ups. Y’all have blessed me with so many opportunities to raise awareness of the importance of mental health & what it means to find connection through growth. I love y’all for rockin with the Tribe thus far! So let’s keep that same energy goin into 2021. We fasho got some big thangs on the way!

🍂We’re definitely growin through some changes! THE STRUGGLE IS REAL, so as our days grow shorter & the amount of sunlight our plants get dramatically decreases, I wanna make sure I set y’all up for successful plant parenting. Here are a few care tips:

• Boost Humidity: as it gets colder the air get drier. Group your plant babies together & get yourself a cool mist humidifier.
• Decrease Watering: shorter days mean less sunlight, which means less water. Use ya finger to make sure you let the soil dry out a tad bit before your plants next drink!
• Dormancy: certain plants go through dormancy & will not push out any new growth until spring, so don’t stress over your plants not growing! Just be mindful of overwatering.
• Stop Feeding: growing season is officially over. So give your plants a moment to chill until spring/summer.
• Placement: I highly encourage y’all to group your plants together & place them where they are away from cold drafts & heater vents. Move them to a bright spot during the winter where the most sun hits! Every hour of light counts.
• Grow Lights: great substitute for sunlight & will give your plants some extra light to promote photosynthesis!

Again, these are just a few suggestions, but always consider that every space is different. I wish y’all luck & don’t hesitate to reach out to help one another during this season!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to begin my first official INTERIOR CULTIVATION project! Y’all don’t understand how exciting & eye-opening this experience was. It’s crazy to think that only 4 months ago I hosted my first ever Live Plant Sale Sunday & here I am today, being invited to help others design their space with green! I’m forever grateful for the opportunities & the amount of trust y’all have in TUMUTUBO. Through our Interior Cultivation we hope to soon help everyone build + create their own indoor jungles that bring peace & promote growth.
