These images of Punch being attacked today absolutely break my heart. 😭💔

I know that life within a macaque troop can be difficult and that Punch is still learning his place, but seeing our sweet boy caught in moments like this is never easy.

From the very beginning, Punch has faced challenges that would have broken many others. Rejected at birth, hand-raised by his devoted keepers, and then faced with the difficult task of finding acceptance among his own kind—he has had to fight for every step forward.

And yet he keeps going.

He keeps getting back up.

He keeps trying.

That is what I admire most about him.

So tonight I'm sending all my love to this brave little soul and hoping tomorrow brings gentler days, new friendships, and another chance for Punch to grow stronger.

May God continue to watch over you, protect you, and give you the strength to keep fighting, sweet Punch. 🤎🐒✨

While the adults around him go about their day, Punch sits quietly with his tiny snack, completely content in his own little world.

It's such a simple moment, but for those who have followed his journey from the beginning, moments like this mean everything.

There was a time when Punch's future was uncertain. Rejected by his mother shortly after birth, he relied entirely on the care of his keepers to survive. Every milestone he reaches today is a reminder of how far he's come.

Now here he is—sitting among the troop, nibbling on grass, learning the rhythms of monkey life one day at a time.

No plush toy.
No keeper's arms.
Just Punch, growing up.

Sometimes we focus so much on the big moments that we forget to celebrate the small ones. But for Punch, these quiet moments are victories too.

A little more independent.
A little more confident.
A little more at home in the world around him.

And somehow, despite everything he's been through, he still has those same gentle eyes that made everyone fall in love with him in the first place. 🤎
