We built a Besta system wall unit last January to accommodate the kids toys and items in lounge room and to sit our 84inch tv.
At the time we built it I wanted to use a Bunnings or similar timber bench top or marble look benchtop to spread the tvs weight over a larger space as I think the 2 legs are room heavy for the ‘centre on the cabinets’ rather then on the stronger sections.
Has anyone added timber or a top to distribute weight? Or have any ideas for us to strengthen the cabinets so they don’t buckle with the weight of the tv?
We are renting so if we owned we probably would have wall mounted the tv

My version of the ikea shoe cabinet entryway hack. Added a live edge plank that I bought off Etsy (46 x 10 inch live edge slab that is about an inch thick. Make sure the slab is wider and longer than the shoe cabinet top even at its narrowest)

Just wanted to share my bedroom window seat project made out of Nordli drawers. I also transformed a couple more Nordli drawers into bedside tables by swapping the tops out with some nice timber from the local DIY store. Included a 'before' look at the window nook as well!"

About 1/3 of the way through organizing my kiddo’s unbuilt LEGO collection with SKADIS. Pretty proud of the outcome.

Edit: woahhhh definitely didn’t expect all the negative comments. Some key points: our house is very small, we do not have space for a table or piece of furniture etc. to hold all the loose Lego pieces. (Unfortunately, it’s not in our budget to buy a larger house in order to accommodate the LEGO, though my family has put in an official request for a LEGO room 🤣). The wall storage allows the LEGO to be out and available in my kiddos room. Some are still in a massive bin as well, but my son is 7 and is a very intense Lego builder- He likes to find the right piece for his creation. The massive pile frustrates him — he likes the order of the way the LEGO is sorted in the LEGO store and on LEGO masters. He does have shelves to display his LEGO creations and play with what he has built— this is only the loose LEGO. If you don’t like it, cool, but hopefully this helps you understand why it works for our kid.
